I'd like to share with you where I have found renewed inspiration. I have long been a seeker. I want to understand life on a deeper level. I want my life to have meaning. And yes, sometimes I feel lost. If you've been following along with my blog you know that I am in a transitional phase of my life and have been searching to find my footing. I've been on a quest to make sure the next chapter of life is fulfilling.
In my past life happened to me. Life happens to all of us and we can't control what we've been given. But we absolutely can control what we do with what we've been given. -Dani Shapiro
-Dr. Brene Brown
In the spirit of embracing vulnerability and courage, I share this post with my readers. I think it is important for us to consider what Brene is speaking to. I have signed up to participate in a six week e-course with Brene which began last Sunday. This course is based on Brene's book The Gifts of Imperfection. I've been reading the book ahead of time and have already begun to ask myself some important questions.
I also share this because I do believe I have turned a major corner of life and I know some of these points will be showing up in my the way I write and create. I've also been formulating ideas and beginning to put to metal some of these ideas for handmade jewelry based on quotes that resonate with me. Here is a sampling of a pair of earrings.
If you're interested in learning more about the e-course you can find the site here:
There's also some great video clips on Oprah's site. Check it out. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Thanks for stopping by.
