I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Sometimes life rolls away with me and I have learned that I am only one person and it is always important for me to do what I can manage. At this time in my life that means I might not be able to do as much as I would like when it comes to all the tasks at Ema K Designs. I am a one man shop and I like it that way; creator, marketer, accountant and everything in between. All too often writing a blog is the first thing that slips off the to do list. You can always find me on Facebook to stay in touch with me.
Okay, now that we have that out of the way. Let me share with you what I've been up to. I have been training and fundraising for the 3 day, 60 mile walk taking place in July. So much time goes into this. I knew that going into it so I have no complaints. I have met some great people, spent time with my sisters fundraising and have been amazingly surprised and overjoyed by the generousity so many people have shown me. All VERY GOOD stuff. See the link on my side bar if you wish to donate toward my walk and cancer research.
I live about an hour away from Boston and was deeply affected by the sad events at the Boston Marathon. I have family and friends that live and work in the city and was extremely concerned for their well being. Thankfully they were safe. My heartfelt prayers go out to the victims of this terrible event. I am still processing through those emotions so we'll just leave it at that. Did you know that Life is Good is donating all the profits from the purchase of a specific t-shirt design to The One Fund Boston. You might want to consider purchasing a t-shirt and you can get it with free shipping too! Check it out.
I have been working a little bit. I have some new design ideas for jewelry pieces; Incorporating metal work, chains, and lampwork beads into one of a kind jewelry designs. What do you think? I love the mix of materials! This particular piece was auctioned off for a 3 day fundraising event but I have some more of these bracelets in the works. I will be adding them to the website next week.
