The contributors of ABS took on an impromptu challenge to create something to go along with this beautiful art work. You'll find a mini blog hop taking place over at ABS of the contributors that were able to participate.
I was inspired by the beautiful colors in this work. Brandi Hussey put together a beautiful color pallette post you simply must take a look at. I'm loving the colors she pulled from this piece. It didn't take me a minute to hop on board with this challenge. When I first signed on as a contributor to ABS it was my intention to create beads for the challenge every month but as life goes sometimes the best laid intentions don't always work out.
I've been longing for hot glass and fire so I took this challenge as an opportunity to get behind the torch. I created a few a few beads, trying to capture a small piece of the art in glass.
An interesting side note. My link to the inspirational art work didn't work properly so I googled the artist and the painting name. In doing so I came up with a photo of the work that had more of an overall blue, aqua effect to the piece.
I think I might have another go at it except next time I'll use Brandi's color palette. What do you think? Are you ready to take the challenge?
